About California Enterprise Zones
What are Enterprise Zones?
Enterprise Zones (EZs) were established in California to stimulate development in selected economically depressed areas.
The EZ Act provides special tax incentives for entities and individuals who operate or invest in a business located within a designated EZ.
Taxpayers investing, operating, or located within an EZ may be eligible for the following the credits and deductions:
- Hiring Credit
- Sales or Use Tax Credit
- Business Expense Deduction
- Net Interest Deduction
The federal and state governments offer the following programs to qualified California companies:
- Enterprise Zone Tax Credits
- Empowerment Zone Tax Credits
The federal government offers the following programs to ANY company in the United States:
- Work Opportunity Tax Credits
- Welfare-to-Work Tax Credits
We work with you to get you these credits without necessitating any change in your current operations. We simply get you what you already deserve. In addition, we work on a contingency basis. We only charge fees according to the credits/refunds we obtain for your company when they are used.
The process works as follows:
- We request certain information to perform a preliminary analysis and present it to you.
- We work with appropriate agencies to obtain the maximum credits available to your company
- We prepare relevant forms, worksheets, and supporting documentation.
- We assist your company's accountant in claiming these credits on tax returns.
In addition, once a company becomes a client, they are entitled to assistance from our staff with regards to tax credit consulting for future expansion and/or sales of facilities.
